"Monolith" is a highly stylized, textured image of a large outcropping of rock in Roxborough State Park. I wanted to give it a rustic, almost spooky feel since this time of year the trees were bare limbs.
My photography is based on inspiration, location, imagination and perspiration. I view each image I work on as a starting point for the creative process. While it can be exasperating finding the right look for an image that has potential, the end result can be extremely satisfying. I embrace new technologies and software not as they become available but as they become essential to my producing the finest images possible.
