Redhorn Gate is a fictional pass through the Misty Mountains in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The mountains themselves (also known as the Mountains of Moria) were recognizable by their reddish hue. This piece was created from a focus stack of 52 images.
My photography is based on inspiration, location, imagination and perspiration. I view each image I work on as a starting point for the creative process. While it can be exasperating finding the right look for an image that has potential, the end result can be extremely satisfying. I embrace new technologies and software not as they become available but as they become essential to my producing the finest images possible.
